The GSA’s One Acquisition for Integrated Services (OASIS) released the first RFPs (Request for Proposal) on FedBizOpps (FBO.gov) 2 months ago. However, the General Services Administration (GSA) has decided to extend their extension deadline of October 10th to October 30th. The GSA has altered the stipulations of the RFP to make it easier for small businesses to compete for government contracts even with a limited amount of federal contracting experience.
The beautiful thing about the OASIS program is that it has two different programs: a large business OASIS Program and a small business OASIS Program. The first program is designed for large/corporate businesses that have a vast amount of experience bidding on contracts and know a thing or two about the federal marketplace. The second part of the OASIS program is the OASIS SB (small business), which has been designed for properly registered small business contractors. This program was created as a 10 year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract providing funds for trades such as logistics, engineering and financial management.
