GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING TIPS

Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) is the designated Army portal for communicating contracting opportunities and notices to its industry partners and the general public.

ASFI provides industry partners with a single Army entry point and a simplified method for conducting new business opportunities searches. ASFI is integrated with the Army Contract Writing Systems/Applications (PD2/SPS/PADDS) that allow seamless posting of contracting opportunities directly. ASFI interfaces with the System for Award Management and Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. To further disseminate business opportunities, solicitations requiring advertisement at the Government Point of Entry (GPE) are also posted at FedBizOpps. The ASFI supports electronic submission of vendor responses to contracting opportunities.

The “Contracting Opportunities Search” feature allows vendors to easily locate opportunities and submit offers-bids online if electronic submission is authorized. The “Vendor Notification Service” allows vendors to set up searches (based on contracting office and/or NAICS Codes) and request emails when solicitations match their search criteria.

Contractors can use the ASFI to respond to Army opportunities via the secure Bid Response System and also to access their Solicitation bid history for summary information on offers-bids placed within the last 60 days. The “Procurement Notifications” function allows vendors to search for solicitation award postings.

Some features are restricted to government personnel only. However, to use ASFI, you must have an active SAM Registration. Keep in mind that not all opportunities are listed on ASFI, so you should also search FBO.gov.
