The app can be downloaded from the Android, Apple, and Blackberry app stores. The app is designed to let users report disasters that occur in their area by submitting pictures and writing information on the app’s user profile. Shayne Adamski, Senior Manager of Digital Engagement at FEMA stated, “We’re really excited about this new feature, because it gives all stakeholders in a disaster area the ability to upload information to a centralized place, allowing all emergency managers to view the information.” In an effort to stay compliant with government technology advances, GovKinex has created a government-formatted website layout for government contractors to market their business to the federal government and bid on FEMA contracts and disaster relief jobs.
