TechMatch: A Procurement Web Portal

GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING TIPS

GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING TIPSThe Department of Defense (DoD) TechMatch is a web-based portal that provides industry and academia a DoD-sponsored solution to find Research & Development Opportunities, Licensable Patents, and information on approximately 120 DoD Labs located across the United States.

Registered users receive a daily email about matching R&D opportunities from FedBizOpps, Grants.gov, and SBIR/STTR solicitations; Calendar events; and relevant Licensable Patents. GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING TIPSRegistered users use Techmatch to solve industry problems, create business opportunities, and stimulate economic development.

Registered users can search for available licensing, patents, information about SBIR, and technology opportunities. TechMatch emails information to registered users who set up searches, much like how FBO.gov sends contracting opportunities directly to a registered user’s email inbox. Getting information emailed to you eliminates the need to search for opportunities. Of course, you can’t overlook searching for potential contracts that use terms other than the terms you specify in your search — but getting opportunities emailed to you is a good place to start.
