Obama to Congress: “We Can’t Wait”

Obama We Can't WaitYesterday in Las Vegas, the President announced his intention to implement executive actions to help bolster the economy and put American families back to work without the need for Congressional approval.  This new effort was paired with the new slogan:  “We Can’t Wait”.  While the White House stresses that these measures are no substitute for the American Jobs Act current struggling in Congress, the Obama Administration stresses that the situation is too serious to do nothing.  While no measures have been announced that would specifically target contractors or small businesses, the actions announced to help the housing market and keep families in their homes are very interesting.

For those of you on Twitter, the Deputy Director of the National Economic Council will be answering questions about these executive actions starting at 4:00PM EDT during the White House Office Hours through the @WHLive account.  You can post your questions at any time before or during the White House Office Hours event by using the hashtag #WHChat in your tweet and follow along by viewing @WHLive.  If you miss it, the full session will be posted later on WhiteHouse.gov and Storify.com/WhiteHouse.  You can check out our questions and other tweets at @contractingtips.
