US Federal Contractor Registration’s innovative new marketing collaboration combines a GSA Schedule filing and a simplified acquisition marketing campaign. The GSA-Simplified Acquisition Program or better known as G-SAP is becoming a hit with small businesses looking to get on a GSA Schedule but still win awards during the process. The G-SAP includes the creation of a branded government-formatted website, government contract bid notification and a number of other elements that aid contractors. More information about the regular Simplified Acquisition Program can be viewed at http://www.simplifiedacquisitionprogram.org/.
This new program is becoming increasingly more popular due to the monthly payment system that comes along with the program. Normally, the price of a GSA Schedule filing can be an upwards of $10,000 that must be paid in full all at once. With the G-SAP contractors can be reassured that their GSA paperwork is being handling by professionals and that they are currently marketing to procurement officers across the nation. Every business must first become registered in System for Award Management (SAM)before starting the GSA Schedule process.
SAM is the federal government’s database in which every contractor interested in federal contracts, grants and awards must be registered in. However, the SAM registration since its birth has brought nothing but problems to contractors. The Georgia Tech Procurement Technical Assistance Center “estimates that a high percentage of the 600,000 firms presently registered in SAM have errors in their records. The mistakes range from misspelled words to empty data fields, to incomplete entries, to selection of incorrect procurement codes, and other flaws.
